Heat causes synthetic hair to become straight and shiny. Therefore, if the hair was curly it will be straightened and may require a re-curl to get it back to its original state. If you have straight hair, blow-drying on low heat will help the hair to become straight and silky. Be careful when using a flat iron and/or curling iron, direct contact with the synthetic hair may cause the hair to melt or burn.
To remove your crochet braids, first use a scissors to cut the crochet hair about an inch from cornrows. Then, pull the knots out. For best results, use a crochet needle or pointed tooth comb to help lift knots. When you have successfully removed all of the hair, start unbraiding cornrows.
